Termite Treatment

In order to identify a subterranean termite infestation, pest control professionals perform inspections and may employ monitoring stations. These are placed within soil with suspected infestations. After highly active areas are located, bait stations replace monitoring stations. Bait stations contain slow-acting baits that worker termites bring back and feed to the other members of their colonies. In time, several generations within a colony will be killed.Control of termites also involves homeowner assistance by reducing possible termite food sources such as woodpiles and addressing moisture sources. Homeowners may be asked to repair plumbing or roof leaks.

Spider Control

Spiders do not have chewing mouthparts and commonly utilize digestive enzymes in their saliva to break prey down before consuming it. Additionally, the gut of a spider is too narrow to allow for consumption of large food particles. Almost all spider species are predators, although one plant-feeding species has been documented. The size and shape of spider webs vary by species: some are orb-shaped, while others are funnel-shaped; some webs are orderly, while others appear haphazard. Some spider species live in burrows rather than webs, while others are free ranging and take refuge in crevices.

Honeybee Treatment

Honey bee nests and infestations can be treated and resolved without the help of a bee keeper. If you have found a swarm or nest on or in your home, there are many treatment options. As previously stated, you may be able to get a bee keeper to come and remove it for you. If you don’t know anyone and want to attempt the job yourself, there are a few safety precautions that are strongly recommended to insure you don’t put yourself in danger.Seal over the chimney flu temporarily with tape and plastic sheeting if bees are entering here.

Lizard Control

Approach lizards cautiously. If you alarm them they will go into hiding.Lizards are more active at night and make a squeaking noise.Gray wall lizards are very good for your garden. They eat small roaches and other bugs that are bad for your plants.Geckos are active at night and climb walls and can climb windows, where they hunt insects that are attracted to light coming from inside a house, or a porch light. Don't EVER poison a lizard-- very few are dangerous. They are your friends, not your enemies Lizards are attracted to food sources and warmth in your house.
